Ten Fab Glamping-friendly Wedding Venues

Know you want an outdoor glamping wedding but don’t know where to start? Start with the venue! Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to work with some brilliant local glamping-friendly wedding venues so today’s post outlines ten of the best…

For huge Redwoods, vintage caravans and an epic bridal loft…

Two Woods is a woodland venue in Pulborough, West Sussex. They’re licenced for ceremonies so you can get married in the woodland clearing, beneath the Redwoods. Walk down the natural aisle, lined with lanterns, between your guests seated on hay bales, to your partner and celebrant waiting at the hand-built oak shelter.

The barn, which seats up to 120, has a beautiful bar hand-crafted bar, open fire, pretty garden and a stunning, bridal loft.

The Secret Meadow is where we create our bell tent villages and it’s the perfect open space for fire pits, games and picnics. Guests can bring campervans and, to complement our bell tents, there are two vintage caravans, fully equipped and bursting with original features.

A hidden gem…

Bower Hill Farm in Redhill, Surrey is one of those hidden gem venues. A remote local field, overlooking a lake with cows as far as the eye can see. A beautiful countryside venue, ideal for couples looking for a relaxed DIY wedding. Bell tents add to the relaxed ambiance at a quiet, simple venue like this.

For fabulous food and onsite craft ales…

Patricks Barn is situated on a private estate near Ardingly, West Sussex. The barn seats up to 80 and the adjacent Byre is a covered area previously used to house the cows in winter. The Byre, if not used for seating, is a great place for chillout areas and games. Becky from The Garden Chef runs the show at Patrick’s Barn, she’s passionate about creating beautiful menus using quality local produce and they have an on-site brewery making stunning craft ales. The field at the back of the byre is used for tipis, campervans and it’s where we create bell tent villages for wedding guests… it’s just a short walk home after an epic party! We’ve been providing glamping for weddings at Patricks barn since 2015. It’s such a versatile venue… we love it.

For Darling Buds of May vibes…

The Secret Barn in West Sussex is run by Hannah, head honcho at Petal & Feast. Their vibe is super-relaxed and rustic. They’re all about tasty food (plenty of it and beautifully presented), seasonal wild-look flowers, festoon lighting and ‘keeping things real’. The barn is nestled down a country lane, it’s not polished, corporate or ‘weddingy’, you’ll go past tractors, cows and out buildings to get there. It’s a ‘proper’ barn on a proper farm where Darling Buds of May-style blessings can be held in the orchard. Staff match the tablecloths in their humble vintage florals and they’re a very happy smiley crew. It’s a place for chilling by the firepit until the small hours before heading to your bell tent entirely content. The next morning there’s likely to be bacon sarnies and no rush whatsoever to pack up.

We can create bell tent villages for up to 40 in the paddock at The Secret Barn. We’ve been developing our best t-shirt tans at the barn for five years now, so we know every inch of ground and we love going back again and again.

For outdoor events expertise and an array of sites…

Fiesta Fields is a wedding and events company, representing nine beautiful outdoor spaces across Surrey and Sussex. If you’re looking for a blank canvas outdoor venue, these guys are great. You’re not tied to any suppliers, but you have a professional team to liaise with. They can advise from their vast experience and manage all necessary aspects of planning an outdoor event, as well as on-day coordination.

We’ve been working with Fiesta Fields to provide onsite luxury glamping since they started. In our humble opinion they’re the go-to girls for field hire! Bell tent villages can be set up to accommodate up to 300 guests at a Fiesta Fields venue.

For versatile spaces…

Bignor Park is a privately-owned wedding venue in West Sussex with eleven acres of beautiful gardens and views across the South Downs. They’re licensed to hold ceremonies outside at the romantic Greek Loggia which is bordered by glorious formal gardens. If you prefer an indoor ceremony, The Coach Store at the Georgian Stables provides the perfect setting. Enjoy your drinks reception outdoors by the tranquil zen pond or in the secluded walled garden.

We’ve been creating bell tent villages at Bignor Park for more than five years and are proud to be their trusted supplier for glamping. Our favourite spot for your romantic ‘Wedding Bell’ is hidden away in the Glade (also known as the Azalea gardens).

For exceptional wildlife…

The Venue at Woodmancote is where we held our recent open day. We chose the spot to show off our bell tents (and Tentarios tipis) because it’s a tranquil country setting in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. The venue boasts beautiful scenery, exceptional wildlife and a stunning lake. Although quiet and rural it’s only 20 minutes from Brighton and 30 minutes from Gatwick.

For rural luxury…

Upwaltham Barns near Chichester, West Sussex is where rural meets luxury. Floor to ceiling windows in the East Barn make the most of the view of the South Downs, and the barn boasts wooden beams, exposed brick and natural stone floors with under floor heating.

Across the courtyard is Jasmine Cottage, a home from home with kitchen, lounge areas, French windows and a Juliet balcony.

With bridal accommodation provided, Upwaltham Barns work with Beautiful Bells to offer guests the same opportunity to stay over. Our luxurious bell tent accommodation works perfectly with the quality facilities at this popular wedding barn.

For fabulous woods in glorious grounds…

Somerley House is a stunning Georgian country house venue offering a versatile setting for weddings. The function rooms in the main house are grand, glamourous and formal whereas the beautiful Somerley Woodlands is ideal for a boho, tipi wedding with bell tent village. Marry under a cathedral of towering Douglas Fir trees and party under canvas.

Coastal Tents take care of the party tent and we set up camp in the large field next to the woodland wedding area. Wake up in your luxury bell tent to beautiful surroundings.

For the love of nature…

Night Pastures offer a sustainable space for events and glamping, set in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The event yurt is situated in a heart-shaped field, beside a lake and surrounded by ancient woodland. It’s ideal for festival-style weddings – think campfires and dancing al fresco beneath starry skies and fairy-lit trees.

Yurt accommodation is available for up to 20 (complete with solar powered showers and toilets). We can supplement the accommodation with a bell tent village for up to 200 guests.

In all these locations we can provide a bell tent village as guest accommodation, a pop-up hotel if you will (rated five billion stars!) See our Weddings page for more information.

For all venue contacts see our Wedding Venues page and we always love hearing about, and working with, new venues.
