The Nostalgia Show is back at Stansted Park next weekend 28th-30th June and Beautiful Bells will be there for all your glamping needs!
The Nostalgia Show is a family-friendly event with fantastic entertainment, street food, classic cars, shopping and interactive activities. The vibe is cheeky and fun. It’s a place for serious aficionados to gather, but it’s also a place for nostalgic antics such as kitsch bingo and tongue-in-cheek smut from cheeky char ladies. It’s a unique event that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Unplug from devices, step back in time and celebrate whimsical charm and British eccentricity at its finest…
Enter the sports day on the village green (or simply watch the hilarious spectacle with a cuppa and a scone), watch canine visitors compete in the dog show and enter the bake-off in the WI tearoom. Daily dance classes will get the blood pumping and the heart racing. Cool down with a well-earned Pimms and try your hand at welly wanging.
Whichever era you choose to dress in is up to you; will you choose polka dots and petticoats harking back to the fabulous fifties? A miniskirt, beehive and long white boots to relive the swinging sixties? (Perfect for Friday night’s Northern Soul night). Whatever you choose (and there’s no obligation to dress up) they’ll be shopping and entertainment that’s right up your street… and, who knows, you might be nominated for the ‘best dressed’ accolade!
Weekend Glamping
With so much going on, you won’t want to leave (and you certainly won’t want to drive!) so book a bell tent for the whole weekend and glamp in the glorious grounds of Stansted Park. Make new friends and let your hair down without expensive taxis or hotels. It’s just a short walk back to your bell tent and there are hot showers and toilets on site.
Arrive from 2pm on Friday to find your cream canvas bell tent set-up and waiting for you. Make yourselves at home and get on with the all-important task of perfecting your outfits. The festival starts at 6pm so you’ll have time to explore the grounds of the wonderful estate. We’d highly recommend visiting the onsite farm shop to stock up on tasty local produce for your camp (BBQs aren’t permitted but we can hire camping stoves as part of your package). You can enjoy your own food and drink in the camping area and in the main festival there’s an array of cuisines to choose from such as burgers, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, Egyptian food and traditional hog roasts with all the trimmings. Mobile bars including The Tipsy Goose and The Champervan (see what they did there) will be on hand to keep you lubricated throughout the weekend. Mine’s a Pina Colada!
Wake up in the morning ready for an action-packed day of dancing, shopping and frivolous fun. If you don’t fancy firing up the camping stove, head out for a cuppa (and we hear One Tonne Burgers are doing a tasty breakfast).
Entertainment finishes at 11.30pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday. So perhaps Sunday is the perfect opportunity to take your food back to camp, crack open some vino and get to know your fellow campers/vintage enthusiasts? You will need to vacate the campsite by 11am on Monday morning.

Includes everything mentioned above plus: Hanging vanity mirror, cosy blankets, luxury feather cushions, bedding comprising of fitted bottom sheet, minimum 13.5 tog duvet with cover and pillows with cases.
If you want us to take care of other elements so you don’t have to, we can also provide additional tea light chandeliers, hampers containing plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery, camping stoves and kettles and cooking packs containing saucepans, frying pans and utensils
