YMCA Fairthorne Manor
Curdridge, Southampton, SO30 2GH
Although a family campsite they will also consider groups and have a licensed clubhouse on site. You can rent fire pits or barbecues including fuel, starting from £9 per night.
Best of all they’re open all year round! They have 60 pitches available, all on flat ground and toilet and shower facilities.
You need to contact them directly for prices and also availability as they can be closed for a weekend for a wedding.
However they often have on site activates so do enquire and have a later departure time than some other campsites of 12pm.
We found their booking team very helpful and friendly when we have spoken to them.
Normal campsite rules apply, keep the noise down after 10pm and respect other campers.

The Pub With No Name (AKA The White Horse)
Priors Dean, Hampshire, GU32 1DA
We’ve camped here lots of times over the years, and although not a proper campsite in the respect it’s a field next to a pub, it ticks all the boxes if you want good food, a bar, and no-one needs to drive home.
Camping starts from £10 per pitch which is very reasonable.
This price is higher when they have one of their cider or ale festivals, which book up quickly, but there is music, a great atmosphere and you can make a whole weekend of it.
Staff are friendly, food is great and it’s surprisingly easy to find when you know you’re looking for a pub sign … with the sign bit missing!
No shower facilities however there is a toilet next to the pub that is left open all night for campers and has always been clean.
