hillside hen camp

hillside hen camp

Gather your hens and pack up your wellies because a weekend of glamping at our Beautiful Bells’ exclusive hen only camp awaits!

At Hillside, you can enjoy your whole hen party experience. You can drink wine, chat, laugh, play games without the privacy issues that you would have on a public campsite.

Please remember that it is a campsite though – of you’re looking for a raucous weekend – it’s not for you.

Hillside is a dedicated hen party venue on the outskirts of the New Forest and it’s exclusive to Beautiful Bells.

It is perfectly positioned for hens who want a glamping experience, to get outside and have fun, but also have the option of heading into a city for a night out.

Camp first opened Spring 2018, when Hillside became an exclusive venue for Beautiful Bells’ hen parties – accommodating between 15 and 20 hens.

what is the hillside hen camp?

There are two separate hen party areas on the site: Tropic (previously Coachella) and Tribe

Each area is in its own private paddock. You’ll have plenty of space for your party and you can be certain that nobody else will be pitching their tent next door to spoil your fun!

Of course, like our mobile glamping service, you’ll arrive to find your bell tent hen site all set-up and ready for the party. So you’ll still have plenty of space (and time) to fill your cars with excess bags of crisps, too much dip, decorations, Prosecco and ice.

Because Hillside is an exclusive hen party venue, we thought you’d appreciate some little extras you won’t find included in our mobile bell tent hire service. Because when you choose Hillside as your hen party venue, we want it to be more memorable, more enjoyable and … more exclusive experience than you ever thought possible!

Camp opens for 2020 on the 10th April!

eat. sleep. retreat.

group sizes

The maximum group size for hen camp is 20 people. For larger groups please ask us about our mobile hen party hire.

when can we arrive?

Check in is from 2pm on your day of arrival and check out is at 1pm on the day of your departure.

what activites can we do while we're there?

We’ve handpicked some activities that are close to camp and firm favourites with previous hen groups – and also some local suppliers who can run workshops on site for you.

Shake it down with some Bollywood dancing, chill out on the water with SUP, wear yourselves out with an aqua assault course, or head back to camp to have a BBQ or Pizza prepared for your group.

Our top ideas to make your bell tent experience a ‘one off’ are listed at the bottom of the page and we’ve added some great new suppliers for 2020!

how do we book? When do we pay?

Booking is easy! Drop us an and we will send you the booking forms.

Money is often the hardest part of arranging any hen party. Because we want this to be as stress free as possible we only take a 25% deposit at booking of the tent hire costs.

So for Tribe the deposit is £271 and Tropic, £403.50.

The balance isn't due until 28 days before the date, and we will invoice you when it becomes due.

At the same time you will receive an invoice for your campsite fees.

There is also a returnable damage deposit per camp area.

Damage deposits are in case the camp or it's contents are damaged during your stay.
They don't need to be received until the Wednesday prior to your arrival and we have these returned within 48 hours of you leaving camp.

It's really rare we have to deduct from your damage deposit. Do read our terms and conditions, and the 'Hen house rules' on arrival. They're designed to ensure everything goes to plan!

Tribe camp

The tribe may be smaller – but the love is enormous!
Tribe is for groups of up to 15 hens.

Tribe is going on Safari for the 2020 season with the chill out bells and sleeping bells given a big overhaul!

Think animal prints, leafy plants and lux! (We’ve already started shopping and trust us it’s going to look gorgeous!)

The cost of Tribe is £1084 for a 2 night hire plus £400 returnable damage deposit.

There is a campsite charge of £21 per person per night.

Camp Tribe comes complete with 3 of our cream 5m bell tents for sleeping AND a cream 6m chill out bell – giving you somewhere to eat and play games.

It also means early risers don’t need to disturb the whole group, or early retirees can head off to bed when they’re ready.

In addition to this, we’ve thrown in lots of extras to make sure your exclusive glamping hen party is unforgettable!

Tropic is the new name for 2020 for Coachella camp. It’s exactly the same, plenty of colour and a bit boho (just expect a few more Flamingos!)
